The planned Commodity Exchange Market to facilitate trading of agro-produce will have to wait as the government is now focusing on strengthening the warehouse receipt system.

The market was launched in 2015 but has never become operational since then.

The deputy minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries, Mr William Ole Nasha, said the government was now putting efforts on the warehouse receipt system.
